Dear Hopeless Christian,
I am beyond happy that you stopped the bad thinking
before it took over your imagination.
Besides stopping, you could also use another strategy such as ignoring the negative thought, talking to God, or even imagining a better version than your negative thinking.

For example
When driving  a new construction, instead of worrying that it will make your house priced lower, you can imagine buying a brand new house. Then you start talk to God and say,” God, it would be nice to have a second house that I can rent out for an added income. If it’s according to your will, may I have one , please? “

You can imagine whatever good thoughts you want, as long as they are aligned with God’s words.

In the book of Genesis, people imagined something  which was against God. People wanted to build a tower that reached the sky. Isn’t it a great imagination?

Genesis 11:6
The Lord said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.

The word plan in this verse is imagine in the original language. Even God said that what the plan or imagine will be possible for them. That stressed the importance of imagination.

But their imagination or plan to build the Babel tower was against God’s plan for human to spread out. In the end God changed their language so they cannot understand each other.

So we must take a deeper look of our imagination, evaluate it if according to Go’s will or not. If it is, then go ahead. If it’s not, do not engage yourself with that thought.

2 Corinthias 10:5  said," We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ"

Let’s imagine the good thing , the things that God agree . Untill later, dear Hopeless Christian
